WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A
KEURIG CUP?
Did you know that Keurig cups are non-recyclable? Over 9 billion Keurig cups are used every year in offices and homes, and yet most of them are tossed in the trash due to their non-recyclable metal and plastic construction. So, are you willing to dump your morning coffee, or come up with a solution? How do you keep 9 billion extra pieces of plastic out of landfills?
The answer is simple: you become an engineer, and spin old into new. There’s no harm in embracing your inner Star Wars nerd, either. Luke, Leia, Darth Vader and C-3P0 were made from two Keurig cups, turned upside down and glued together with a cardboard base. R2D2 was made from one Keurig cup. Using only card stock, colored pencils, scrap paper and a few Q-Tips (yep, you read that right), I created the figures you see here. All the materials were stuck together with the help of a trusty hot glue gun. What do you think of the final result?
TICKING TYPOGRAPHY
